You Saved Me

WOW!!!! That is all I have to say about date night last night. The Mr. and I went to the one night only screening of "You Saved Me" brought to us by Lamar and Ronnie Tyler of Black and Married With Kids. What an excellent documentary of real relationships in the black community. I was so proud of my Real Wives of Chicago Sisters, we showed up and showed out with our husbands.

Some of my RWOC sisters with hubby's at the screening http://www.realwivesofchicago.com/
I love the message that the Tyler's are spreading. It is so amazing to see that black love and marriage still exist in the community, amidst  the many negative factors that are attacking the black family.

I just love...LOVE.

Check out the trailor....

If you missed it dont fret, the DVD is available for purchase, just click the link below.

  1. I really enjoyed this film. The best part of the film to me was when the older lady that was married for 50yrs+ and it really hit home for me when she said "she was rich even though her and her husband was poor". They made their life rich with love and I think that is very important in a success of a marriage to concentrate on the love and make that rich then making your pockets.

Another couple that I enjoyed was the couple that was married for 20+ yrs and they seperated but in the midst of their seperation she took that time to learn about herself. She was so use to being a mother and a wife that she didn't even know what she like ex swimming, horse back riding. So I think it is so important for us wives to not loose ourselves. Remember that we was still an individual before we gotten married and to be truly happy within our marriage. We first have to be happy within.

  2. Yes I love your comment Chelle. The reason I created the Sassy Wife blog was so that I don't lose myself in my marriage. I love my husband.."God Knows I do"..lol. But I want to remain the woman that he fell in love with.
